La Nucia

La Nucia is a peaceful village in a valley of green pine and fruit trees, 10 km from Benidorm inland. The tranquil residential zone is characterized by many extended urbanizations with innumerable small houses and townhouses.

Along the main street coming up from Benidorm (CV70) and in the central areas are all kind of shopping centers, small shops, and service businesses. Monuments and places of interest are: the old washhouse, the Renaissance church, the syndicates, and the old quarter. The panoramic view from Avenida Portvilla is impressive.

In the north we find Polop and Callosa d’en Sarria; in the east the little town Altea, in the south L’Alfaz del Pi, and in the west Benidorm. The agriculture in this area is dominated by the cultivation of almonds, olives, and lemons. The mountains of Aitana and Aixorta protect La Nucia in the winter from cold winds from the north.

Places for leisure and entertainment are obviously Benidorm. The beaches of Villajoyosa, Benidorm, Albir and Altea are only a few kilometers away.
