Moraira-Teulada

Teulada and Moraira are 2 towns, adjacent to each other. Moraira situated on the coast, Teulada some kilometers inland. The coast line is around 8 km.

Moraira is a gem of a little town. It still keeps the character of a Spanish coast village. Moraira is small, but an attractive holiday and residential town. The buildings are all low-raised. The main street is small and colorful with a variety of local shops. A visit to see Santa Catalina Church and the Divina Pastora Chapel amongst others is recommended. The Torre del Cap d’Or stands on the edge of the rocky coastline.

Moraira has a fishing port and a yacht club with private sailing boats. The port area offers many restaurants and bars. One will find many different possibilities for sports like sailing, diving, Jet Ski, tennis and a go-kart. The seaside and countryside resort invites you for varied interesting adventures.

You have a choice of sand, rocks or pebbles: The small main beach in Moraira “Platja de l’Ampolla” is sandy, but completely overcrowded in the summer. A little attractive beach area called El Portet is almost like a Caribbean bay with turquoise water. Other small beaches are Plagetes, the tiny rocky coves with clear blue water called l'Andragó, the Punta Estrella and La Cala.

The roads in the area are winding and the very green hills alive with innumerable pine trees and small houses or villas everywhere. The development of constructions in this area always respected the demands of the nature and environment. The urbanizations are well integrated in the landscapes with easy access. The area transmits an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. Vineyards lie alongside plantations of oranges and almonds. You can enjoy the beauty of the surroundings wandering in the shade of olive trees, and smell the heady aroma of pine sap.

Teulada town is a picturesque tranquil village and working place located approximately 6 km inland. Very well known are the wines and “mistelas” of Teulada.
