San Javier

San Javier is a small town 2 km from the Mar Menor with Murcia’s airport. The region around San Javier is important for agriculture. Santiago de la Ribera, the area next to the Mar Menor has become a very important tourist resort. San Javier is a busy little town with many shops, bars and restaurants.

The beaches of Santiago de la Ribera are clean, safe, and with finest sand. Sports facilities attract many tourists. A lot of expats live there, British as well as Germans.

San Javier is situated in the province of Murcia and therefore Castellano speaking.
