Villajoyosa

Villajoyosa is located 3-4 km from Benidorm and 25 km from Alicante. The town is well known especially by its old buildings with multi-colored facades crowded into narrow streets. The historic old town has a number of buildings from its historic past. Some roman bridges go back to the 16th century. The delightful gothic church invites for a visit as well as the bustling market selling locally made artifacts and the lively fish market.

The old town itself has been largely renovated and extended with new urbanizations. The town’s main income still comes from fishing and a chocolate industry. It’s worth to visit the Museum of Chocolate.

The sandy beach, clean and safe for adults and children, is quite large and starts at the small harbor. Villajoyosa is a pretty location for an enjoyable day trip.
